80s Retro RTP MV

Do you know those old school games... No, older. Older even. Waaaaaay older. I am talking about the 1980s. Back in the day, computers didn't have a graphics card and pixels could only show 1 single color. A pixel was either on, or off. Depending on your monitor, this would mean you had a white, or a green pixel to look at. Some monitors even had an oker color, but those were rare. The most common color for the screens, used to be bright green, or plain white.

Of course we were all very thrilled when we got color screens later, and graphics cards that could show us video's, photo's and 3D animations in an insane resolution... But any of us, who is at a certain age, might feel nostalgic to the days where windows didn't exist, our computers were still private and you had to be kind of a nerd to be able to use them. I know I do!

One of the things I miss, is the way graphics used to be made. Graphics back then were, like everything else, simply just 1 color. Not different shades of that color, like with a Black and White television, but actually 1 color. This looked amazing, when done well. Shading was simply done by leaving more or less space between the pixels.

So... To bring this feeling back into game developing, specially to RPG maker, I make those new graphics look like they were made 40 years back.

All graphics are remade, with just green (#00ff00) pixels on a black background. The further away those are, the darker the shade will be:

And I am not nearly done! More is coming soon! And the more you guys like it, the more likely I will make more after I did all the MV RTP. I might also do MZ RTP, VX Ace RTP and VN Maker RTP.
